Façade pour une boutique  | Ginza, Japan | 2019 | 1r prix

The concept of this facade, is to transcribe into matter, in this case, the concrete, the very picture of a timeless brand defined by its classic and luxurious charm.

The frame of its icon and pattern is here reversed. Lines become gaps, to let the light come through. Voids become masses, which will be curved to reach the expression of an ornate surface.

An ocher tinted concrete shall be used, as a reference to the limestone, the body and the skin of our monuments, as an attempt to mark the European origins of the building in the heart of Tokyo.

In spite of the metal, the concrete does not shine. Its rough surface expresses the strength and the solidity that distinguishes all things that last.
